UNMANNED SYSTEMS FOR AGRICULTURE

The timely detection of threats in the fields is of paramount importance in agriculture. However, this is not always possible to do when working on agricultural enterprises with sown areas of several tens of thousands of hectares. Significant labor and time resources are required for continuous detailed field inspection and detection of potential hazards. And if earlier it was difficult to solve this problem due to the lack of remote monitoring tools for farmland, then with the development of IoT technologies a wide range of tools has appeared that are used in the agricultural sector.

One of these tools are unmanned technologies. Based on the surveys of the drones, various data necessary for agriculture are generated: an NDVI map, 3D models, orthomosaic, electronic field maps and cadastral maps, and much more. Photographing is carried out in the visible and near infrared ranges.

Data of drones integrates with automated control systems of companies.

Aircraft-Type drones

Aircraft-type drones are used for long-distance flights over long distances and for photography of extended objects. The drone's design provides for constant movement, so such a drone cannot hover for more detailed photography.

COPTER-TYPE drones

Copter-type drones are used for 3-modeling and detailed photography. Vertical system of lift provides quick take-off and landing. However, due to the design features, namely low speed and short flight time, such drones are not used for long-distance flights.
